Custom Bouquet Preservation

The Process

1. Get in touch.

The first step is getting in touch. Please use the contact form below to reach out and tell me as much as you can about your bouquet and what you have in mind, such as size, style (see below for examples) and if you are wanting to add on Tru Vue Conservation UV Filter Glass. To confirm your booking, a non-refundable deposit will be required which can be purchased in my shop. This is then deducted from the total amount. My presses fill up quickly, especially in summer months, so it is best to get in touch in good time to make sure you do not miss out.

2. Send your flowers.

It is essential for me to receive your flowers as fresh as possible, so they are in peak condition for pressing. Flowers should ideally have their stems trimmed and the bottoms wrapped in wet paper towels or tissue paper, and then again in a waterproof material like plastic to retain moisture during shipping. Do not cover the flower heads in plastic as this will encourage them to rot! Flowers should be sent next day delivery as soon as possible after your event. Some flowers I will be able to revive if they are slightly wilted. However, once they have gone too far over there is little that can be done, so please bear this in mind! Always include your name in the parcel so I know whose flowers are whose.

3. Flower preservation.

When I have received your fresh blooms I will let you know, and get to work preserving them. This is the longest part of the process and depending on the flowers, may take up to 12 weeks. The wider variety of shape, size and colour definitely makes the artwork more interesting so worth to consider when choosing your florals. Single flowers press better than double flowers, so also mention this to your florist when designing your bouquet - if you would like recommendations for specific flowers then please just let me know.

4. Design.

When your flowers are out of the press, I will send you some mock-ups of different designs depending on what you have specified to see which style you prefer. Typically, I offer three styles; classic bouquet style, meadow style and my signature collage style. However, I am always flexible and will try and accommodate requests if you have something specific in mind. Please look at my Instagram for design inspiration.

5. Create.

Once we have finalised the designs, I will begin your bespoke artwork. Please note that the mock-ups you are sent are ‘sketches’, if you will, and will differ slightly to the final piece as the flowers are fixed. The mock-ups are to give you a general idea of the style rather than individual floral placement. The finished product is an elevated version.

6. All yours.

When I have finished your artwork I will list your piece on my website and send you an email with the link for you to purchase your special artwork. Postage costs are calculated at check out and all pieces are sent via Royal Mail or Parcelforce Tracked 48hr Delivery. Once your artwork is shipped all you have to do is wait to be reunited with your special flowers!
